I think we were supposed to be morally outraged. I think the BBC have lost the plot. Judge for yourself. You can see it online here.
I sent them this response on their feedback page. You might want do something similar and, hey, its still a free country, so live a little!
I'll be pleasantly astonished if they select mine for publication (I suspect its a bit "in your face" for the Beeb. They prefer "moderate" responses that don't raise the blood pressure). So if I don't publish it here, nobody else will get to read it. Here it is:

The word that kept coming into my mind as I watched this attempt to invoke moral outrage in a British audience, was NORAID.
I mean Really...
What on earth do you expect? These people are being ground into the dirt and they turn out to have the courage and stupidity to dare to fight back. It is hardly surprising that they now support a psychotic ideology.
The longer this war goes on, the more valid their arguments now seem, the more Said Qutb becomes mainstream. And more and more of their psychotic answers, particularly about the attitude of the Western World, are validated within days by the American Empire or its proxies.
I can't go as far as wishing them "good luck" because although I recognise that from their point of view there is no longer any other choice, I can also see that the only reason they hold their point of view is because they share a religious psychosis with their enemies.
They (Militant Islam), the Israelis, certainly the American establishment and possibly a small slice of our own are now behaving in ways which can only be described as clinically insane.
We might occasionally be shocked by some of their activities, but, if you are awake and aware of what is really going on in the Middle East, there is no reason to be surprised.

I should point out, for the benefit of other readers that irishseter is obviously responding to my coverage of the killing of Anthony Diotaiuto in my previous blog and has accidentally attached his or her comment to this one.
All I can say in response is that I know nothing but time can heal the inevitable and undeserved pain that has accompanied this state implemented homicide but I hope that, eventually, we will at least force the bastards who get away with this sort of thing to account and atone for their actions.
OT but thought you'd be interested and couldn't find another way to reach you...

NBC News has learned that U.S. and British authorities had a significant disagreement over when to move in on the suspects in the alleged plot to bring down trans-Atlantic airliners bound for the United States.
A senior British official knowledgeable about the case said British police were planning to continue to run surveillance for at least another week to try to obtain more evidence, while American officials pressured them to arrest the suspects sooner. The official spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the case.
In contrast to previous reports, the official suggested an attack was not imminent, saying the suspects had not yet purchased any airline tickets. In fact, some did not even have passports.
jeez mscmike, you've done us all a big favour with that link!
The only redeeming feature is the extent to which they truly suck! They are embarrassingly awful. If, on the other hand, they were Joan Baez-like, I'd have been worried.
You are, of course, perfectly correct to point them out as almost a mirror image of the suicide bomb songsters. Depressing.
Frontieruk I've only just noticed your post and link! You make the point (before I spotted Nafeez Ahmed talking about it - See Sept 03 entry) that the London "attack" wasn't imminent. I'll add your link as further corroboration.Thanks.
